What started as a personal hobby back in middle school has since turned into a successful, award-winning, family owned and operated computer repair shop.

Meet the team
Owner
Erik opened Levelup Computers & Technology to the public in 2018, after having repaired mutliple computers for friends and family since middle school. When he isn’t assisting the local community with their computers, he is gaming, working on his collection of vintage computers and electronics, or spending time with the many animals on his family’s farm. He graduated from Marriotts Ridge High School and the Application and Research Laboratory’s PC Systems pathway in 2020, with the latter providing him with his CompTIA A+ and IT Fundamentals certifications. He is currently a junior at Frostburg State University studying abroad at Toyo University in Tokyo, Japan, pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
Office Manager
Married for 27 years, Karen is the proud mom of two young men. Her son, Erik, is the owner of LevelUp Computers & Technology, and she has supported him along his journey. Now, she is part of his team, assisting him in growing his business and guiding him along the way to ensure he stays true to his passion. As an animal lover from a very young age, her first job at 14 helped her support a slightly feral pony. Since then, she has been involved in showing horses, rabbits, and most recently, 2 lovely Irish Setters. For over 20 years, she did bookkeeping, and as of 2010, did a mid-life switch to special education.
Finance Manager
Married for 27 years, Lance is the proud dad of two young men. His son, Erik, is the owner of LevelUp Computers & Technology, and he has supported him along his journey. Now, he is part of his team, responsible for managing LevelUp Computers & Technology’s finances. Lance grew up in Baltimore City, but spent a good portion of his childhood on his uncle’s farm in Westminster. An accountant for over 35 years, Lance is a managing partner in a firm specializing in accounting and bookkeeping for dental practices. When he isn’t working, you can find him spending time with his family or taking care of the many animals on his farm.

Transparency
Picture this: You go to the big box electronics store with the repair department, and you need your computer fixed ASAP. They take it to the back, and you don’t get any updates for about a week. We don’t do that. We will inform you of the status of your repair. We make sure to run everything by you for approval. We will tell you if something goes wrong. After all, it’s the right thing to do.
